Immunizations
The nurse at the health department provides immunizations for people of all ages; assesses records for families, schools and day cares for immunization status and educate the public about the importance of immunizations in preventing disease.
Vaccines help prevent diseases that used to be the top killer of children in this country. Maintaining high rates of childhood immunizations protects not only vaccinated children, but also those too young or too ill to have completed their full series of shots. A reduction in immunization rates inevitably results in an increase in disease. Therefore, immunizations are crucial to the health and safety of the community at large.

The health department holds regular immunization clinics in two locations. Please call ahead to schedule an appointment for recommended vaccinations and to speak with the Public Health Nurse: (406) 283-2447.

During flu season, the public health department offers flu shot clinics in publicized locations around the community.
Cost
Lincoln County Public Health makes every effort to provide affordable vaccines for residents. We offer insurance billing. For those who are self-pay, immunizations are offered at a low cost. However, no one will be denied immunization due to an inability to pay. Donations for services are appreciated. School Shots
Please bring your children’s vaccination records with you to the health department when you come in for back-to-school shots.
