Solid Waste & Recycling

Keeping our community and environment clean through safe waste disposal and recycling.

Secure Your Load

Lincoln County Solid Waste Regulation – (October 2017 Revised 8 NOV 2017) require you to secure your load when traveling on any county roadway! Uncovered loads create road hazards, litter our roadways, and increase cleanup costs. All garbage or refuse transported to Lincoln County Landfills must be covered or secured to prevent material from falling, bouncing, or blowing out of the vehicle. Acceptable covers include a strong and secured tarp or canvas. Capping a load with an unsecured mattress, plywood or pallets will not be accepted. Garbage can lids must be secured. Large items may be securely tied down using ratchet straps, bungees or ropes. Uncovered or improperly secured loads will be charged a $48 fee at the landfill gate.
